The Sense Of A Lost Word
A sense flew right over again,
Breathing in the same mistakes to let me
See right through what I’ve lost before
But when I close my eyes to feel
The memories flow right through me
When I fear the endless end
Breaking through and leaving me cold
When I don’t listen to the storm
Will you be there to keep my head clear?
So let me close my eyes for a while
I’ll watch the reversed memories play
Until they make no more sense to me
Or until I forget how to
A lost word went right through me,
It kept hoping to cling on to anything
Just a sentence to keep this fire going
Or to breathe in my own lines for a while
Just to see what it’s like to feel
I let it wander and linger for so long
To let it be caught by different fires
Until the warmth was never enough
Will you be there to keep the fire going?
So let me close my eyes for a while
I’ll watch the reversed memories play
Until they make no more sense to me
Or until I forget how to
So this lost word found a sense,
Deep in the longings of to be free
Where boundaries of Time fade fast
But break any rules of fear and anger
So when I close my eyes to feel,
Or just let the sentences keep this fire going
When I fear anything that can pass
Or just the warmth of this endless fire
When my own lines do not make any sense
So when I don’t listen to my own storm
Will you be there to find this,
When I can’t feel the memories anymore
Will you be there to find the lost word
With its sense for me?
