Solace Elsewhere
Moments pass me by but leave no mark
Like the invisible touch your embrace leaves behind
Comforting, secure and wrapped around my presence
It comes in forms liquid and solid
Moving both through my veins and my skin
Offered to the light I cried out my dark
Please take my fears and bound them to one,
Please hold my presence until I sink again
Through this surface of my own longings
It is for once that I can hear my heart
Trapped, though, in the small insecure light
But relieved in this embrace
Fallen upon my shoulders it holds no weight
In-between, elsewhere out in the vast space
Somewhere I can finally breathe
The calmth released holds me in this silent moment
And lets me close my eyes, holding me in the balance
In-between, elsewhere in this endless comfort
Words pass me by and come in sentences
Bringing into the lines the stories I want to tell
Finally leaving my voice into the darkness of life
Once frozen over Time I haven’t melted this before
Now it moves through my veins and my skin
My confusing tears fell in the lake of reality, crying
Please give me all the reasons why,
Please hold all the answers to my questions
The lake dried up when Time left the scene and now
It is for once that I can feel my own heart
Set free in the words of comfort
And released through the calming silence
Fallen upon my heart it holds no weight
In-between, elsewhere out in the vast space
Somewhere I can finally breathe
The calmth released holds me in this silent moment
And lets me close my eyes, holding me in the balance
In-between, elsewhere in this endless comfort
I feel lost, but the map is a pattern
Just a moment in this calmth where I can breathe
The given light seems to reflect my heavy heart
Darkness is lit up by the reflections of all the corners
Lighter I move across the wall,
Breathing in – breathing out
Please hold me until my words finally make sense
And leaving me in this embrace
Fallen upon me it holds no weight at all
In-between, elsewhere where I am
Somewhere the calmth is released
This balance I’ve never felt before
In-between, elsewhere in this solace I need
Lies my heart – forgiven
