Releasing Scars
Out in the barren landscape,
He cries, and follows his own shadow
The trees just a fragment of a larger scene
One never painted in just black and white
Stretched out over miles and miles far,
He gets lost in the memories he kept
The lights of each city just a blur,
The comfort of only just one kiss a cure
And only the darkness can let you go now
For in my existence I am weak,
No more will I carry than your burdens
To let them be captured, broken
And let the fragments carve in my skin
It are the scars we share and let in
Out in the haunting light,
He follows, and lets go of his own thought
Comfort seeks for his presence but doesn’t
Even form a reason to settle down gently,
Though the bitterness comes with the sweet
And the silence is deafening on his lips
The amount of desire captured fast,
The beauty of a moment seems to last
And only the subtle surrender can let you go now
For in my existence I am strong,
No more will I carry than you have
To let it all be released from your shoulders
And let the fragments carve in my skin
It are the scars we share and let in
His cry follows the skies wide and free,
Hauntingly letting the moments be
As any touch which follows now
Seems to be another dimension,
He yearns for the beauty captured,
And willingly surrenders to her
For in my existence I carry you,
No more will you carry than you can
To let it all be captured, released
And let the fragments carve in my skin
It are the scars we share and let in
